Daniel Dejica & Daniela Badea, co-organisers
Daniel Dejica, PhD, habil., Professor in the Department of Communication and Foreign Languages and Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Politehnica University Timișoara. PhD supervisor, affiliated to the Doctoral School of Humanities, West University of Timișoara. Director of the Center for Advanced Translation Studies within Politehnica University Timișoara. His didactic and research interests include translation, discourse analysis, intercultural and interlinguistic communication. He was part of the Doctoral Studies Committee of the European Society for Translation Studies (2009-2018). He coordinates the Translation Studies series within the Politehnica Publishing House, the Professional Communication and Translation Studies international conference, and is part of the editorial or scientific boards of numerous scientific journals. Together with Muguraș Constantinescu and Titela Vîlceanu, he coordinates A History of Translations in Romanian, a series of volumes published by the Publishing House of the Romanian Academy.
Daniela Badea started her career in a consulting company, as a translator, interpreter and liaison officer. Since 2007 she has been working in the Directorate General for Translation of the European Commission, accumulating an extensive experience as a translator, as well as in other associated areas. As of March 2023, she is the representative in Romania of the Directorate General for Translation of the European Commission. Her mandate consists in promoting multilingualism, the profession of translator and, in general, the linguistic policies of the EU.

Maria-Cristina Miuțescu
Cristina Miuțescu, PhD, is currently an assistant lecturer in the Department of Communication and Foreign Languages, Politehnica University Timișoara, where she has been conducting EGP and ESP classes since 2020. Her research papers have mostly been centred around the intertwined fields of Translation Studies and Applied Linguistics (including the doctoral thesis defended at the West University of Timișoara in 2022).
Karina Hauer
Karina Hauer is a graduate of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Timișoara Polytechnic University, outstanding student 2017, holder of a master's degree in philology and PhD student at the Doctoral School of Humanities, Faculty of Letters, History and Theology from the Western University of Timișoara. She participated in various conferences on both translation and philology topics and published articles in specialized magazines. She also participated in various projects and workshops.
Cornelia-Patricia Grigoraș
Patricia Grigoraș is a Ph.D. student at the Doctoral School of Humanities, West University of Timișoara. Her doctoral research tackles zeitgeisty methods of teaching technical translation to a digital-born generation. She is an affable and conscientious person. Also, she relishes teaching English and helping people.

Flavia-Andrada Podaru
Flavia-Andrada Podaru is a 3rd-year student at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Polytechnic University of Timișoara, majoring in English-French Translation and Interpreting. Due to her passion for her chosen field, she likes to get involved in different events, and projects from which she can learn the needed competence. Besides her studies, she is also passionate about volunteering, which she pursues within the Student Association - Liga FSC.
Alex Constantinescu
Alex Constantinescu is a 3rd-year student at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Politehnica University Timișoara, where he studies translation and interpretation in English and French. He is a passionate and helpful student who is also interested in the fields of public relations and social media, which he practices through volunteering at the student organization Liga FSC.
Carmen-Elena Popescu
Carmen-Elena Popescu is a third-year student at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Politehnica University Timișoara. She studies Translation and Interpretation but, in her free time, she's interested in human resources and public relations. She is keen on volunteering and learning new things from the opportunities that the Faculty and the students' organization where she volunteers (Liga FSC) have to offer.
